A project by MARG8 AudioVisualArt The illumination experience goes by 3 stages through 3 machines operating in the modes: 1) high/low 2) front/back 3) all around. Synchronized light impulses with increasing and decreasing sound frequencies, applied for a certain period of time, operate subliminal psycho/physical changes. Even more complex and bulky than the previous ones, the latest installation is composed of a large tubular structure that supports another setups erected in the middle, shaped like a vertically positioned ring that rotates around a polycarbonate sphere placed in the center, divided into 2 openable sections, which contains the human subject. Two projectors of about 15,000 lumens are positioned diametrically opposed on the ring and oriented towards the center of the sphere. The ring rotates via a rack controlled by servo-assisted motors placed at the base of the sphere support, thus uniformly moving the projectors with a cycle that completely illuminates the surface of the sphere and the subject inside. The closure of the 2 semi-spherical caps starts the installation in a timed manner. IT I 3 stadi di illuminazione. L’esperienza per l’illuminazione passa per 3 stadi attraverso 3 macchine che operano nelle modalità: 1) alto/basso 2) fronte/retro 3) tutto attorno. Impulsi luminosi sincronizzati con frequenze sonore in crescere e calare, applicate per un certo periodo di tempo, operano il cambiamento psico/fisico a livello subliminale. La terza ed ultima installazione della serie, ancora più complessa e ingombrante rispetto le precedenti, è composta da una grande struttura tubolare che ne sostiene un’altra eretta in mezzo, fatta come un anello posizionato verticalmente, che ruota attorno una sfera in policarbonato posta al centro, divisa in 2 sezioni apribili, che contiene l’individuo umano. Due proiettori da circa 15.000 lumen sono posizionati diametralmente opposti sull’anello ed orientati verso il centro della sfera. L’anello ruota tramite una cremagliera controllata da motori servoassistiti posti alla base del sostegno della sfera quindi fa muovere uniformemente i proiettori con un ciclo che illumina completamente la superficie della sfera e del soggetto all’interno. La chiusura delle 2 calotte semisferiche fa partire l’installazione in maniera temporizzata.
